Bought Shattered Horizon last week for $5 off of steam and it got me thinking, wouldn't it be great if you could play as marines in HW2 in the protection/boarding of a battle cruiser?

Models from HW2, astronauts and planet from screen caps of SH, and some photoshoping to fill in the gaps.

The white beam at the bottom is the ion beam from the BC's ion turret, which got covered by the gun :( I had a boarding pod latching on to it too.

Omi, I would _pay_ to see this presented to both Relic (or whoever owns the rights to the HW series now) and the guys that made Stattered Horizons.

Well considering the amount of artwork you've done for Relic over the years (I still remember you and IgnusDei having impromptu art contests on the forums only a month or so after HW2 came out), they -really- should be listening.

I just shat bricks all over the place when I saw this. This game is not only blazingly fun, but the art direction of some of the levels reminds me a lot of Homeworld stuff.

Once they release a SDK of sorts, you should see if you can make a custom level where the battle takes place over a destroyer or something like that...now that, would be awesome.

Neat concept, but you should do a paint over of this and keep in the spirit of it. Like right now there is no focal point. My eyes can't find where the main idea is because there is not enough contrast. Maybe direct the view better by choosing more realistic lighting, and a more (pre-chosen?) pallet.

Your work rocks, but this seems hurried. Please don't be upset, I just want to see a piece like this that is as awesome as I know you can make it.

Nice picture. I'm still holding out for such a game. It also needs to have ships cut in half, and still going, just like in Star Trek! :D

And the original game was the best. For hight Res HW2 ships check out :iconenterprise-e: if you have not already.
