It's really too late. But I imagine they would scramble every thing they have, even if a handful of interceptors Won't change the course of the Hiigaran battle.
I really want to fix the sky, the figures, and add some visible light fixtures and loading equipment. But I've hit my limit on how long I spend on one painting before my efficiency drops through the floor and I start pulling my hair out.
Took about 5-7 hours broken over 3 sitting. Done on PS CS3 I liberal use of color dodge and horrible techniques. C & C welcome.
edit> Fixed a couple of things, mainly the lighting, composition, and background. Took about 2-3 hours, slowly pecking away at it. Hope you like the new engine color dodge
Haha yeah I did. Had to glue on couple of pieces back on before I could use it as a reference. I was going to light the engines but... didn't want to paint another light source...
I'm working on an update of it, so I might add that in as well.
-This- looks great! I love the look of the ships in upper orbit!
The only other problem I have is not seeing any stabilizing boosters. That is to say: how does this thing sit on the ground? I see no wheels, or legs like the 'Millennium Falcon' has. If it is hovering, what is giving it lift. If it -is- on the ground, then the shadows on the ground under it are too soft.
Keep up the great work. I like seeing these things evolve.
Yeah it just hovers... nyvek also mentioned it in a chat. Man I guess I'll have to revise it again. I'm thinking wheels but that doesn't sound very sophisticated...
Awesome, I love the added details. The background actually feels real, I really like how the the sunlight is being reflected from that building... It also looks like and overcast cloud is blocking the light to a certain point giving it a nice cool day feel. Pretty great!!

Kind of wonder what it would look like with the engines lit.
