Gotta take a break from the mech poster. Here's the next installment on the RTS game I am working on.
This is the fighter class. There are the combat variations and the command variation. Combat would be armed with either railguns or missiles, or both (wasn't it ridiculous the way they armed the raptors at the end of BSG??). The command variation would have no weaponry what so ever but will have a special emp/jammer for tactial deployment, whether that is in an ambush or in a last ditch effort to escape a hot spot. I am thinking it will boost coordination between squadrons and therefore there survival abilities and coordinated firepower, a la fire control in HW2.
I was thinking of a close range, ultra fast fighter with _huge_ boosters in the back. Never really nailed down the look of that. Oh, and I've been rewatching BSG... starting from the mini-series cause my girlfriend hasn't seen anything really before season. So the rear of the command ship kinda looks like the battlestar, at least to me it does. Also it was the final stage of my uber booster fighter, that's why the command version has a huge booty.
